This is a quote from Edward Bond’s Lear. To me it’s about keeping your eyes open and remembering your place on the universe.
Taken about 1hr after I got it done. It’s a reference to Portal (as I’m a bit of a gaming nerd) and that I’m still here after going through depression, self harm, seeing the death of my mother and general shit in life. It’s a reminder that I’m still here, still alive, still strong.
Honestly it really didn’t hurt all that much, got a bit touchy around the tip of the heart but once it started I got used to the pain quickly.
Done at The Tat Shop in Perth, Western Australia by Kell Knight.

This is my first tattoo, done by Dave at Rising Phoenix Tattoo in Illinois.
It’s a line from a song I adore. It’s about a kid whose life passes him by as he spends his time dreaming of things beyond what he could ever achieve. This song reminds me of myself, and I take comfort in knowing that there are other dreamers out there who are just as silly, outlandish, and passionate as me.
This is my first tattoo. I got in on my 18th birthday. It is written in Tengwar (the written language of the elves in J.R.R Tolkien’s epic “The Lord of The Rings.” It is my favorite line from the movie trilogy. In the common tongue it reads “The shadow does not hold sway yet. Not over you, not over me.” … Done by Kerri Kiple at Rendezvous in Marquette, Mi.
I am just going into university in the fall for my BSc, I eventually want to get into medicine to become a surgeon. This is my constant reminder that regardless of whatever hell I will have to endure over the next 8 or so years that my goal is to make a difference in the world and do good.
Also I find a lot of medical professionals lose track of the reason got into medicine. Sure, the paycheck is really nice, the title of being a doctor is pretty slick, preferred parking is also a nice bonus, however, I want to save lives and make the lives of others better as much as I can.
This is my first tattoo, and hopefully the first of many many more. I’m a composer and a student and as a graduation gift to myself I decided to get a tattoo after years of putting it off. Its of two sparrows outlines with music with in them. The music is the first piece of mine that has won a competition. I got the tattoo done at Sailor’s Grave Ink an Austin, Texas.

This is my new lion tattoo.
It represents myself, since I’ve been through a lot in my life and had to stay strong for all of it. It’s also for my family, through the mane it says “sita” which means family in polish since my family means most to me.

Since I saw Labyrinth as a kid I’ve been a fan of Brian Froud. These are a pair of goblin footprints from one of his books, most of which I own and love. Even as someone grounded in science and skepticism, there’s a lot I hold dear about the folklore and fairytales I grew up with. They’re a reminder to always stay young at heart and never forget your sense of mischief.
Done by Morgan MacDonald at Seven Crowns Tattoos in Toronto, Canada. He was one of the coolest and quickest tattoo artists I’ve ever had. :)
